Ο Θεοδωρόπουλος απεικονίζει μια συστάδα δέντρων και αθάνατα στο πρώτο επίπεδο, ενώ πιο πίσω οι μαλακοί όγκοι των λόφων και η πεδιάδα ολοκληρώνουν την εικόνα. Με επιρροές από τον ιαπωνισμό, το Μαλέα αλλά και το έργο του Γαλάνη (η επιρροή του Γαλάνη ανιχνεύεται και στην επιλογή της τεχνικής, τη maniere noire) και του Cezanne, ο Θεοδωρόπουλος δίνει ένα φυσικό τοπίο ελληνικής υπαίθρου, στο πλαίσιο των αναζητήσεων της εποχής του. Κινητικότητα της σύνθεσης, απλουστευτική διάθεση, σχηματοποίηση και έμφαση στην πρόσληψη και την απόδοση των στερεομετρικών όγκων είναι τα κύρια στοιχεία που διακρίνουν το σύνολο, ενώ ενδεικτική είναι και η πραγμάτευση των φυλλωμάτων. Στα θετικά του έργου καταλογίζεται επίσης η άρτια τεχνική εκτέλεση.

Theodoropoulos depicts a cluster of trees and immortals in the first plane, while further back the soft volumes of the hills and the plain complete the picture. Influenced by Japonism, Malea but also the work of Galanis (Galanis influence can also be detected in the choice of technique, maniere noire) and Cezanne, Theodoropoulos gives a natural landscape of the Greek countryside, in the context of the searches of his time. Mobility of the composition, simplistic mood, shaping and emphasis on the reception and performance of stereometric volumes are the main elements that distinguish the whole, while the treatment of the foliage is also indicative. The positive aspects of the project also include the excellent technical execution.
