Fonis Zoglopitis was born in Thessaloniki, where he resided during his early childhood. His family moved in Polygyros of Chalkidiki, the birthplace of his mother where he lived through his teenage years. His surname comes after to name of the village his father comes from, Zoglopi, which is found in Karditsa prefecture. Since 1974 he lived and worked as a painter in Thessaloniki. He appeared in the local arts scene with a solo exhibition at the “Little Diagonal” Gallery of the renowned poet Dinos Christianopoulos, and have been showing his works in several solo exhibitions ever since, mainly in Thessaloniki and Greece. He was a founding member of the Panhellenic Cultural Movement and the Association of Visual Artists of Northern Greece. Member of the Artistic Chamber of Greece.

Ο Φώνης Ζογλοπίτης γεννήθηκε στην Θεσσαλονίκη, όπου έζησε τα πρώτα παιδικά χρόνια. Μετακόμισε οικογενειακά στον Πολύγυρο Χαλκιδικής, τόπο καταγωγής της μητέρας του. Από τον πατέρα του κατάγεται από το Ζογλόπι του νομού Καρδίτσας. Από το 1974 ζει και εργάζεται ως ζωγράφος στην Θεσσαλονίκη. Πρωτοεμφανίζεται το 1974 με ατομική έκθεση στη «Μικρή Πινακοθήκη Διαγώνιος» του Ντίνου Χριστιανόπουλου, με την οποία συνεργάζεται μέχρι το κλείσιμό της. Έκτοτε εκθέτει έργα του στην Θεσσαλονίκη και σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Ήταν ιδρυτικό μέλος της Πανελλήνιας Πολιτιστικής Κίνησης, του Συλλόγου Καλλιτεχνών Εικαστικών Τεχνών Βορείου Ελλάδας, και μέλος του Καλλιτεχνικού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδας.
