The Acropolis and the Parthenon, these unique symbols of Western civilization, must be protected
from any euphemistic form of commercialization, advertising trivialization or “opportunistic” exploitation.
In any case, the Holy Rock daily and throughout time gives the maximum to the modern Greek
society and on a symbolic-ideological level but also on a strictly economic level so that there is no need for them
millions or the promotion of, for example, Gucci or other artistic sponsors. It is our shield even today
and always, even if the majority of Greeks do not fully understand the aesthetic reasons for this
of supremacy but it is enough for her that she instinctively feels the myth and the metaphysics of the space. Ours

Η Ακρόπολη και ο Παρθενών, αυτά τα μοναδικά σύμβολα του δυτικού πολιτισμού, πρέπει να προφυλάσσονται
από κάθε εκμαυλιστική μορφή εμπορευματοποίησης, διαφημιστικού ευτελισμού ή “ευκαιριακής” αξιοποίησης.
Ούτως ή άλλως ο Ιερός Βράχος καθημερινά και διαχρονικά αποδίδει τα μέγιστα στην νεοελληνική
κοινωνία και σε συμβολικό – ιδεολογικό επίπεδο αλλά και σε στενά οικονομικό ώστε να μην χρειάζεται τα
εκατομμύρια ή την προβολή π.χ των Gucci ή άλλων φιλότεχνων χορηγών. Είναι η ασπίδα μας και σήμερα
και πάντα, έστω και αν η πλειονότητα των Ελλήνων δεν πολυκατανοεί τους αισθητικούς λόγους αυτής
της υπεροχής αλλά της φτάνει ότι νιώθει ενστικτωδώς τον μύθο και την μεταφυσική του χώρου. Τα δικά μας
πράματα όπως θα έλεγε ο στρατηγός Μακρυγιάννης.

Εμπνευσμένο από την Ελληνίδα ηθοποιό και πολιτικό Μελίνα (Αμαλία-Μαρία) Μερκούρη (1920-1994). Η
Μερκούρη καταγόταν από οικογένεια πολιτικών και διετέλεσε υπουργός Πολιτισμού, η μακροβιότερη στην
Ελλάδα, κατά τα έτη 1981-89 και 1993-94.
