Thanos Karonis

Thanos Karonis was born in 1958 in Goni village of Larisa. He currently lives and works in Thessaloniki. He studied Maths at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and acquired his knowledge about art next to artists and artisans. His acquaintance with sculpting triggered inspiration in his artistic pursuits. He has been participating in both personal and group exhibitions since 1984. He takes part in sculpture and painting exhibitions as well as in symposiums and sculpture workshops. Finally, he deals with theatrical scenery design and design- manufacture of everyday objects.
