Themis Kelekis was born in Kavala, Greece, on 1936. He studied next to the renowned painter G. Hantzopoulos, who was the brother of his mother, and concluded with his studies in Paris, France. He was established for his special manner and received 8 Awards for excellence both abroad and in Greece. In addition he has published literature books focusing on the relation of people with th sea.

Ο Θέμης Κελέκης γεννήθηκε στην Καβάλα το 1936. Μαθήτευσε κοντά στο μεγάλο ζωγράφο Γ. Χατζόπουλο που ήταν αδελφός της μητέρας του, και συμπλήρωσε τις σπουδές του στο Παρίσι. Κατάφερε να ξεχωρίσει με την πρωτοποριακή τεχνοτροπία του και έλαβε οχτώ βραβεία καλλιτεχνικής αξίας. Επίσης, έχει γράψει διηγήματα και κείμενα με θέμα τη θάλασσα.
